WAPI (Infrastruktur Privasi dan Autentikasi LAN Nirkabel)

WAPI (Wireless LAN Authentication and Privacy Infrastructure) is a security protocol and a mandatory standard for WLAN security in China, which was firstly proposed by the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Service Network Theory and Key Technology of Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology. It was first proposed by the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Service Network Theory and Key Technology of Xi’an Electronic Technology University. [1]

WAPI is a kind of wireless transmission protocol like infrared, Bluetooth, GPRS, CDMA1X, etc. It is different from them in that it is a kind of transmission protocol in wireless local area network (WLAN), which is in the same field of technology with 802.11 transmission protocol. [2]
